NBA fans are trolling Christian Wood after the former Lakers player’s home was invaded by three men, while he was still in it. Wood reportedly fired three shots on the ground as a warning for the invaders, who fled from the scene.
While the incident was definitely a great example of the current state of crime sprees in LA, across homes of celebrities, NBA fans could not hold back making jokes of the situation, particularly about Wood shooting at the ground instead of the invaders.

“Christian Wood opened fire on three home invasion suspects who broke into his home on Wednesday. It did not appear that anything was taken from the home and no injuries were reported.” Fullcourtpass tweeted.

“Damn bro can’t make anything lol” one fan joked about Christian Wood’s shots.
“Another day, another Christian Wood 0/X shooting performance.” another fan echoed.
“Couldn’t hit water from a boat (100 emoji, peace sign emoji, crying emoji)” one more fan hilariously commented.
According to reports, the invaders who targeted Wood’s home soon left after he fired the shots. Investigations prove that nothing was taken from the house and that if Wood hadn’t defended himself, many valuables would have been stolen.
NBA Fans Hail Christian Wood’s Defense After Firing At Ground
On another note, NBA fans also had another angle of jokes, that Christian Wood was simply playing defense and therefore did not actually miss any shots. Wood could have fired at the suspects, but probably did not want to harm anyone.

“Anybody gonna say anything about missing shots, or…? No, this was Defense at home! Redemption. Let’s go with that.” one fan tweeted.

“As he should… that’s his home” one more fan reacted.
“Now he knows how to play defense?” another fan added.
The identities of the three suspects are currently not known, but apparently, the three men got away in a Jeep Grand Cherokee. Wood has not spoken out about this on social media or with reporters by himself at this moment.
Wood’s home is not the only celebrity athlete’s home that has been broken in the last few months. A number of athletes have faced home intruders, including Bengals QB Joe Burrow, whose home was broken into sometime back. A couple of months back, a burglar was arrested for breaking into the homes of celebrity athletes like Blake Snell and many more.
