NBA fans got a good laugh this week after a gambler went viral for confronting Jimmy Butler on the street. The fan, clearly heated, shouted at Butler for failing to hit the over on his parlay—he needed the Warriors star to drop more than 30 against the Spurs, which didn’t happen.
In the clip, Butler is just walking casually when the guy snaps, blaming him for the busted bet. NBA fans didn’t hesitate to poke fun at the whole scene, mixing jokes with a little reality check.

One fan said, “Who’s betting Jimmy 30 points in the regular season.”
Another wrote, “Dude pressing Jimmy Butler on the sidewalk like he’s some undercover Vegas bookie was pure chaotic comedy.”
A third added, “If you’re ever this mad, you need to make better decisions in life than expecting another man to make you rich where he makes millions.”

Despite not hitting the gambler’s number, Butler still had a solid outing in that Spurs game: 21 points, 8 rebounds, and an assist, helping Golden State escape with a tight 109-108 win in the NBA Cup. The Warriors moved to 1-1 but still have to dig out of a rough -24 point differential in group play.
“Luxury to have”: NBA fans raving after Jimmy Butler’s double-double against the Pelicans
While one gambler was busy melting down, Jimmy Butler moved on and immediately delivered another strong performance—this time in a 124-106 win over the New Orleans Pelicans.
The Warriors improved to 9-6, with Moses Moody stealing the spotlight after dropping a career-high 32 points. Even then, fans made sure Butler got his flowers for the all-around impact he brings.

One fan said, “U wanna talk about efficiency and impact this guy is one of one. Doesn’t need the ball, can still get u 20 PPG, looks to get guys around him going, and does all the little things at an elite level. Oh and by the way come playoff time there’s nobody else like him. Luxury to have.”
