It’s not a great time to be a Memphis Grizzlies fan—or player. Following reports of tension between Ja Morant and head coach Tuomas Iisalo, NBA Fans have found another reason to poke fun at the struggling franchise: ticket prices.
@LegionHoops reported, “As tension in Memphis builds, the ticket prices continue to plummet,” noting that some seats are now selling for just $2.

That’s less than the price of a hotdog at most NBA arenas, and fans online didn’t let that slide.
User @SALCHlCHA cracked, “ticket cost less than a hotdog ITS A PARADE INSIDE MY CITY YEAHHH,” turning Morant’s viral quote into a full-on meme.
The comment section quickly filled with NBA Fans laughing about how fast Memphis went from one of the league’s hottest tickets to the cheapest.
Still, not everyone blamed the reports of tension.
@jsully2_ said, “Nothing to do with any ‘tension.’ Grizzlies have always just had the lowest ticket prices in the league.”
And that’s partially true—Memphis has long been one of the most affordable markets in the NBA.
But this time, NBA Fans feel the low prices symbolize more than market value. They see it as a reflection of the chaos surrounding the team. Between Ja’s off-court issues and inconsistent play, the Grizzlies’ reputation has taken a hit.
It isn’t just about ticket sales; it’s about how quickly the excitement faded. NBA Fans once lined up to watch Morant fly through the air. Now, they’re joking about getting floor seats for the price of fast food.
NBA Fans Split Over Ja Morant’s Future In Memphis
As rumors continue to swirl around Ja Morant’s tension with the Memphis Grizzlies, NBA Fans are starting to ask the big question—has he become more trouble than he’s worth?

@SamQuinnCBS didn’t mince words: “I just don’t think Ja Morant is worth the headaches for Memphis anymore. In the last few years he’s created more problems and less value on the court. If I were the Grizzlies, I’d be trying to trade him.”

That opinion sparked a wave of replies from NBA Fans debating Morant’s future. Some believe he just needs a fresh start.
@bigdogpistons1 said, “I see the Heat. He will respect them more. He needs someone he respects to lead him.” Others weren’t so forgiving—@NYGNYKNYRNYY posted, “He isn’t worth the headaches to any team.”
It’s a tough reality for a player who once looked like the face of the NBA’s next generation. Between suspensions, public criticism, and now reports of internal conflict, the road back to respect has never looked steeper.
NBA Fans have seen this before—young stars caught between hype and humility. But Morant still has time to turn things around. If he can stay focused and rebuild trust, the league might remember his game more than his headlines.
For now, though, NBA Fans aren’t holding back. To them, the $2 tickets and the drama aren’t random—they’re signs of a team, and a star, losing their shine.
