Myles Turner can’t seem to go away from NBA fans who are mocking and booing him following his return to the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in the game between the Milwaukee Bucks and the Indiana Pacers.
The short montage ran before tip-off, celebrating his decade in Indiana. But instead of applause, the soundtrack turned into jeers. As soon as it ended, Turner mimed closing a book, signaling that his chapter with the Pacers was officially over.

Fans didn’t exactly appreciate the gesture.
One joked, “He definitely watches anime.”
Another said, “He’s such a geek bro lmao.”
A third added, “Funny, he did the same thing to our chances in the Finals last summer.”
In the end, Myles Turner had the last word where it mattered — on the scoreboard. The Giannis Antetokounmpo-led Bucks escaped with a 117-115 win thanks to a buzzer-beater from the Greek Freak. Turner finished with 9 points, 7 rebounds, and an assist across 32 minutes. Not a headline stat line, but enough to help deliver a win in his old house.
Turner spent his first 10 years with the Pacers, though things clearly soured by the time he left.
“Russ didn’t sh*t on everyone on his way out the door”: NBA fans compare Myles Turner’s return to Russell Westbrook’s Denver homecoming
It didn’t take long for NBA fans to draw comparisons online. Many pointed out how differently Russell Westbrook’s homecoming in Denver played out compared to Turner’s chilly night in Indy.

When Westbrook faced his former team, the Nuggets, as a Sacramento King, he got cheers, hugs, and handshakes — nothing but love. No boos. No awkward tension.
That wasn’t the case for Turner, and fans made sure to remind him why.

Another added, “He also has been completely disrespectful to the team and fans that loved him for 10 years since he left soooo.”
A third chimed in, “i mean westbrook just came in and gave his heart out even if it was just for a year while turner wanted to bring down the pacers on his way out cuz he got butthurt the pacers didn’t wanna go into the luxury tax lol.”

Turner might’ve closed his book on Indiana, but the fans sure haven’t finished reading that story.
