Eleven and O for Wendell and Reese. That was the response that Wendell Carter Jr. said that found the ire of the NBA fans. Wendell was certainly confident of his ability, from making the baskets to protecting the lane. He is highly confident in his ability that he believes in a hypothetical two-on-two with him and Angel Reese on one side, A’ja Wilson and Bam Adebayo on the other, it would be a one-sided 11-0 in favor of them.

And that’s what some people didn’t like. Even @KittyTheOthrWay on X didn’t like what was read, saying,
“What’s Wendell smoking??”. Which is no subtle sign of his disbelief in Carter’s ability to dominate that way. And that’s not a straightforward scenario either. He’s also completely discounting his chemistry with Reese and Aj’a Wilson’s ability against his would’ve been partner.

But on the funnier side, another NBA fan, @sjhall17 finds them “Perfect for each other. Both delusional.” You can remember that Angel Reese did have the tendency to, at times, exaggerate and take liberties in some of her claims. But then all is part of the broader game of influencers and social media celebrities, something that Angel Reese is known to be highly present in.
Match that with the vibes we are picking up from Wendell, we may have ourselves a good tandem on and off the court. But that’s moving away from the discussion. Does the basketball math add up? Would they be capable of an 11-0 sweep, should this go beyond hypothetical?
Well, regardless, we NBA fans certainly can agree on one thing, with all these claims out in the open, maybe it’s time to put up. As @AliB_iCoach said, this is
“The All Star content we really wanna see”.
Angel Reese Can’t Escape NBA Fans Discussion
And if things haven’t gone Angel Reese’s way with the Chicago Sky fumbling postseason, NBA fans and WNBA fans are just hard at work making their own analysis of the WNBA’s season.

On X, @TulaneTiger can’t help but remember Angel Reese when thinking of the Lynx, saying,
“The Lynx are an Angel Reese away from probably having 2 WNBA titles at the conclusion of this season. They cannot get a rebound!”

As rebounds are just as important aspect of the game as scoring points, fans are comparing the lack of rebounds to Angel Reese’s balling style. @JadedIndeed49 is calling it,
“And the fever fans will clown Reese and say rebounds don’t matter”.
Well, one thing is for sure. If Minnesota Lynx wants to move forward, they need to do something. Because, as @rocksteady_1906 rightly describes it,
“They cannot grab a rebound when they need it most.”
