Limited minutes might be getting to Jordan Clarkson, because the New York Knicks guard has found himself going back and forth with NBA fans online more than once lately.
After the Knicks’ 111–89 win over the Boston Celtics, Clarkson caught heat from fans who zeroed in on his defense. One comment in particular set things off.
Roukshiestypt2 wrote on X, “Clarkson is a cone on defense bro.”
Clarkson didn’t ignore it. Instead, he fired back with a short reply: “and what are you?”
That exchange was enough to pull NBA fans into the mix, and the replies quickly turned into a joke fest.
@nickflair0 piled on, saying, “He eats gas station tilapia.”

@BlueSpirit_3 added context to the chaos, writing, “Rouk is such a nice person, but he always gets blitzed in the funniest way possible lmfao.”

Not everyone wanted the argument to drag on.
@UncleWoll82 tried to calm things down, saying, “They won why yall crying?”
On the court, Clarkson’s role has been shrinking. He logged just eight minutes in the win over Boston, and that’s becoming familiar territory since arriving from Utah. His limited run has only amplified the attention around everything he says — and tweets.
“I’m very concerned they’re gonna do a country halftime show”: NBA fans react to Jordan Clarkson’s Super Bowl halftime ideas
With his night over early, Clarkson shifted his focus away from basketball and toward Super Bowl LX, weighing in on the always-chaotic halftime show debate.
“Super Bowl next year Tyler the creator, burna boy, posty, nba youngboy, or carti halftime show,” Clarkson posted on X.

That take didn’t land cleanly either.
@LuisGirlsmoan replied, “I’m very concerned they’re gonna do a country halftime show.”
@JayfromTribeca wasn’t impressed, adding, “All garbage options besides Posty but all good JC.”
Others used the moment to bring things back to basketball.
@babyfred0397 wrote, “Focus on your defense this year.”
Clarkson, like many sports fans, also watched the Seattle Seahawks secure their second Super Bowl title with a 29–13 win over the New England Patriots.

As for his season, it’s been a quiet one by Clarkson standards. Through the 2025–26 campaign, he’s averaging just 19.1 minutes per game since joining the Knicks — a shift that seems to be playing out both on the stat sheet and online.
