Tyrese Haliburton might be one of the NBA’s brightest stars, but his latest fashion choices have NBA fans calling him out for being a little too petty.
The Indiana Pacers guard was spotted rocking both a Chicago Cubs and an LA Dodgers jersey, and it wasn’t just for style. According to Hoops on X, Haliburton wore them on separate occasions to keep his personal feud with the Milwaukee Brewers alive.

The backstory goes back to 2024, when Haliburton was supposed to throw out the first pitch at Miller Park. The Brewers reportedly canceled the appearance after the Pacers eliminated the Bucks in the playoffs — and that didn’t sit well with the Wisconsin native, who grew up cheering for the team.
Now, it seems Haliburton hasn’t forgotten.
One fan commented,
“So the Brewers aren’t petty but he is?”

“Let him hate,….. it shows his character. The issue runs deeper than just the Pacers eliminating the Bucks. There was a war of words between Haliburton and Giannis.”
“He’s still a child at heart.”
Haliburton was the driving force in that playoff series, helping Indiana knock out Milwaukee 4–1 in the first round. In Game 5, he sealed the deal with an overtime dagger, finishing with 26 points, five rebounds, and nine assists — officially ending the Bucks’ run.
“2 of the most clutch players of all time”: NBA fans rally behind Haliburton after Pacers’ legend’s vote of confidence
Despite the online teasing, Haliburton’s reputation in Indiana remains rock solid. Even Pacers legend Reggie Miller jumped in to back him.
In a recent clip from Netflix’s Starting 5, Miller praised the young star’s impact during the team’s NBA Finals run against the OKC Thunder.

“He risked it all for a franchise, for a state, for an organization. … How many are willing to risk it all?” Miller said.

Fans echoed the sentiment in the comments.
“Love those brash skinny ballers. 2 of the most clutch players of all time.”
“He’s special! Just like you Reggie! Hope we can keep him always a Pacer!”

“I think about game 7 and Tyrese every damn day. That’s the difference of our fanbase and all others.”
Whether it’s hoops or baseball beefs, Haliburton’s proving one thing — he’s built for rivalries and ready to stand on them.
