Tyrese Haliburton found himself at the center of some unexpected shade — this time from his former teammate, Myles Turner. But NBA fans quickly came to the Indiana Pacers star’s defense.

On Thursday’s episode of The Thanalysis Show, Turner fired off, saying, “Tyrese, also, he knows he’s protected, too. So he can go out there, talk his s–t, say whatever the hell he wants to do, and he knows he has backup at the end of the day. Now, he’s not going to be talking the same s–t if he’s in the middle of the street.”
It didn’t take long for fans to push back on Turner’s remarks.
One fan said, “Why would anyone worth 9 figures want to get into a street fight?”
Another added, “Says the fraud.”
A third fan wrote, “What’s the old saying? Takes one to know one? Myles is the poster child for fake tough guy.”
Turner, who spent his entire career with the Pacers before getting traded to the Milwaukee Bucks after their Finals run, didn’t get the response he might’ve expected. The 28-year-old signed a four-year, $107 million deal with Milwaukee and has since made a solid debut — posting 11 points, eight rebounds, five assists, and three blocks in their 133–120 season-opening win over the Washington Wizards.
“That’s actually insane”: NBA fans celebrate as Tyrese Haliburton shares update weeks after surgery

While Myles Turner is trying to find his rhythm in Milwaukee, Haliburton’s comeback story continues to win hearts in Indiana.
After tearing his right Achilles in Game 7 of the NBA Finals, the two-time All-Star gave fans a big reason to smile this weekend. In a video shared to his socials, Haliburton was seen dunking — just 17 weeks after surgery.
The comment section instantly lit up.
One fan wrote, “That’s actually insane that you are able to dunk week 17. Props to you Hali, just got the shoes as well.”
Another said, “Every day is getting more athletic than the previous. You’re going to come back even better, trust me.”
A third added, “So happy to see you jumping already!! That comeback is going to be so special! Honestly I never thought I’d love a Pacer more than Reggie… you changed that real quick.”
Though he’s ruled out for the 2025–26 season, Haliburton’s recovery looks ahead of schedule — and fans can’t wait for his next chapter.
