The rivalry between the San Antonio Spurs and the Oklahoma City Thunder is heating up, and NBA fans just found another fuel for that fire.
Christmas Day at Paycom Center turned chippy when Victor Wembanyama grabbed Chet Holmgren by the neck on a hard foul, sending him to the line. Holmgren missed the first free throw — and Wemby shouted loud enough for the mics:
“HELL YEAH! HELL YEAH!”

NBA fans immediately jumped on the moment.
@badboychadhoy joked, “My personal and inconsequential theory is that wemby isn’t even shouting on plays like this he’s just like 9ft tall so he’s close as hell to the mic.”
@Laasssttt_ saw bad blood: “Somebody hold him real quick. He be moving like he hates Chet’s guts.”@Magiks kept it blunt: “That was plain dirty though.”
The Spurs spoiled OKC’s holiday, winning 117-102. That’s three victories over the defending champs already — one in the NBA Cup semis, two in the regular season. NBA fans see it as fuel for a rivalry that’s only getting hotter.
“Wemby’s definition of intense is everyone else’s ceiling”: NBA fans applaud Victor Wembanyama’s winning attitude
Fresh off their win against the Oklahoma City Thunder, Victor Wembyama’s post-game interview showed he’s still on a high after the win.

“Each game is so intense and takes so much from you…The reward is just incredible,” said Wembanyama.
NBA fans gave Wemby his flowers after his comments show how much he really wants to compete and win.
@NoBanksNearby said, “Wemby’s definition of ‘intense’ is everyone else’s ceiling.”
@cryptodaaddy replied, “the mindset is what sets him apart.”
And @Grokuhpeediuh took a dig at SGA, saying, “Is he on his way to an MVP this year now that he owns real estate in Shai’s head?”
Wemby put up 19 points, 11 rebounds, and 2 assists despite being on limited minutes to win on Christmas Day.
