NBA fans are having a range of reactions to Cooper Flagg missing the Knicks game as a result of an illness. While the latest reports did not exactly mention what illness Flagg is struggling with, his temporary absence did make Mavs fans come up with various theories.

Meanwhile, it also makes the scene for the Mavs even worse since the team is already struggling with a multitude of injured players. Flagg was perhaps the only performing player for Dallas right now and his absence makes it even more troublesome for the Mavs this season.

“Cooper Flagg is out tonight vs. Knicks with an illness, per @ShamsCharania” Bleacher Report tweeted.

Kon Knueppel ROY, put the bets in now people

“Kon Knueppel ROY, put the bets in now people” one fan joked, pointing to the Hornets rookie.

“Damn, Flagg is sick…sick of all the dumb turnovers, that is.” Another fan said.

“He’s sick of this sh*t” yet another fan pointed out the Mavs’ terrible current record.

While the details of Cooper Flagg’s illness has not been specified, latest reports predict the rookie to make a return for the team in the next matchup. Without Flagg in their playing roster, the Mavs fell to the Knicks.

NBA Fans Continue To React To Cooper Flagg Being Out

NBA fans have been showing different reactions to Cooper Flagg’s illness, with some feeling bad for the player and others pointing out that he simply did not want to face the Knicks. Meanwhile, others have been wondering as to why there are so many injuries among players in the league right now.

“I can see why no network is really covering the NBA right now! With all these players being out never knowing who’s going to play in what games it’s unmarketable!….its not a good sign for the NBA or Adam Silver. It kinda makes the All-Star game unwatchable cause who’s playing?” one fan pointed out.

“The ‘illness’ – playing for a team that loses A LOT MORE than they win. A foreign concept for the lad.” Another fan recalled Flagg’s college basketball team, the Duke Blue Devils, which are definitely not used to losing.

“Really so who’s gonna watch that game with Mavs half of the roster injured” another fan noted.

Despite Cooper Flagg being out of the team, the Mavs managed to limp to the finish line, losing with a couple of points against the Knicks. Dallas had Naji Marshall and veteran D’Angelo Russell leading on the scoreboard in the defeat.
