The Golden State Warriors are set to play against the Memphis Grizzlies on Tuesday at the Play-In Tournament. The Warriors are hopeful to come away with a win over the Grizzlies to advance and secure a spot in the NBA Playoffs. A day before one of the most important games of the year for Golden State, the team submitted an empty injury report.

On Sunday, the Warriors played the final game of the 2024-25 season against the Los Angeles Clippers. The Stephen Curry-led team fought hard to avoid being in the Play-In situation, even extending the game into overtime. However, the Clippers outplayed them during the last five minutes of the game, thanks to James Harden’s 12 points.

As a result, the Warriors had a 124-119 overtime defeat.

NBA News: Golden State Warriors look to have a healthy squad against the Grizzlies

During the Clippers game, fans were worried about All-Star forward Jimmy Butler. The veteran star appeared hurt during the overtime period. Butler took a knee from Los Angeles’ Kawhi Leonard, which hurt him for a bit.

However, he assured the media there’s nothing to worry about and is looking to play in the Play-In Tournament.

“I’ll be all right,” Butler said. “Go home and play some dominoes, drink some coffee. That’ll help me feel better.”

Curry, who was in the injury report ahead of their game against the Clippers, addressed his health. The two-time MVP was listed as questionable with a thumb injury. However, the Warriors star taped his thumb and played while hurt.

“It was fine,” Curry said. “I try not to think about it too much … yeah, just keep playing.”

The four-time champion led the team with 36 points, six assists and two steals on 58.3 percent shooting from downtown.

Golden State Warriors head coach addressed his decision to sit Jonathan Kuminga versus the Clippers

Ahead of the Warriors’ loss against the Clippers, only two players were part of the injury report, Curry and Gary Payton II. Both were questionable and eventually played heavy minutes on the court.

Fans thought it was odd that the two players listed in the injury report played while Jonathan Kuminga, who was healthy, didn’t see any action. After the game, Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr talked to the media about why Kuminga remained on the bench.

“Both [Santos] and [Kuminga] have been really impactful players for us,” Kerr said. “Doesn’t mean they’re out of the loop going forward, it’s just this is how this game played out.”

Kuminga finished the season averaging 15.3 points, 4.6 rebounds and 2.2 assists. While he showed massive improvement this season, the injury he sustained caused him to miss plenty of games.
