Over the years, four-time NBA champion Shaquille O’Neal has done pretty well after retiring from the league when it comes to accumulating wealth. This is evident in how much he’s putting up his home in Dallas for sale, which is a lot.

O’Neal has built an impressive career and net worth that extends far beyond his on-court dominance. With a net worth estimated at $500 million, O’Neal has successfully transitioned into various entrepreneurial and media ventures since his retirement from professional basketball.

During his 19-year career, O’Neal earned numerous accolades, including four championships, three Finals MVP awards, and 15 All-Star selections. His tenure with the Los Angeles Lakers from 1996 to 2004, alongside the late Kobe Bryant, was particularly successful, with the duo winning three consecutive championships from 2000 to 2002.

Off the court, the All-Star big man has leveraged his fame and charisma to become a marketing powerhouse. His estimated career earnings from salary and endorsements exceed $800 million, making him one of the highest-paid athletes of all time. Some of his notable endorsement deals include Reebok, Pepsi, Icy Hot, and Buick.

In addition to his successful athletic and endorsement career, O’Neal has ventured into various business and entertainment endeavors. He has appeared in numerous films and television shows, released rap albums, and currently serves as an analyst for TNT’s Inside the NBA. Moreover, the Lakers legend has built a successful investment portfolio, which includes ownership stakes in companies like Google, Papa John’s, and a variety of franchise businesses.

Overall, Shaq’s exceptional basketball skills, combined with his business acumen and media presence, have solidified his status as one of the most recognizable and successful athletes of his generation, with a net worth that reflects his multifaceted accomplishments.

Just recently, O’Neal put up his home in Dallas for sale. In an article by Jennifer Geddes for SFGate, it’s revealed that the property is being sold to interested parties for $1.7 million.

“Basketball superstar Shaquille O’Neal is letting go of his Dallas-area home after just two years. The 5,200-square-foot property in Carrollton, TX, has five bedrooms and seven baths. It’s now on the market for $1,695,000,” Geddes wrote.

The former Lakers and Miami Heat star purchased the property back in 2022 for an estimated price of $1.22 million. At this point in time, it’s not yet known why O’Neal decided to put it up for sale.

Whatever the reason may be, the Inside the NBA host has the chance to make a good profit on the property after two years of owning it. In any case, he’ll still end up as the winner of the transaction.
