There have been several teams interested in potentially trading for Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo. The teams that have generated the most momentum are the Miami Heat, Golden State Warriors and Minnesota Timberwolves. However, all three teams have varying advantages in the trade market.
Antetokounmpo could be on his way out of Milwaukee. That still relies on whether the company is happy with whatever offer they get before the trading deadline on Feb. 5. If that doesn’t fall through, there is a belief that he could remain with the team, and an offseason deal could happen.
On Monday, ESPN’s Shams Charania detailed what each of the three teams could offer for the Bucks star.

“The Bucks have wanted young blue-chip talent or a surplus of draft picks,” Charania said. “The Warriors have made a pick-heavy offer, Minnesota is more of a player-centric offer, and Miami is somewhere in the middle between players and picks.

“The Bucks are going to have to choose, ‘Do we take one of these offers, they’re going to continue negotiating or can there potentially be more in the offseason?’”
The Portland Trail Blazers have come up as a potential trade destination for Giannis Antetokounmpo
Acquiring Giannis Antetokounmpo may not guarantee a championship, but it could improve a team’s chances of contending. The Portland Trail Blazers have emerged as a potential trade destination, with All-Star guard Demian Lillard reportedly recruiting his former teammate.
On Monday’s latest Bleacher Report livestream, Jake Fischer revealed the update.
“The Blazers themselves are trying to get into the mix to bring Giannis Antetokounmpo to Portland to play alongside his former teammate Damian Lillard, who, of course, has been someone who’s been trying to make this happen behind the scenes,” Fischer said. “His former teammate Jrue Holiday is, of course, still in Portland as well.”
Fischer added that the Blazers can use Jerami Grant’s $32 million salary this season to match Antetokounmpo’s. Additionally, Portland can add other mid-tier salaries.
