Despite having their All-Star caliber trio in Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, and Bradley Beal, the Phoenix Suns are struggling this season. Tied for 10th place in the Western Conference and barely above the .500 mark with a 21-20 record, it is easy to see that they are looking to make improvements to their roster before the Feb. 6 trade deadline.
While the Suns are looking to trade for Miami Heat’s disgruntled star Jimmy Butler, they can also consider acquiring other players on the trading block, such as Chicago Bulls forward Patrick WIlliams. According to Chicago Sun-TImes writer Joe Crowley, Williams is available for the right pieces.
Following Crowley’s reports, online sportsbook Bovada said that the Phoenix Suns are the most likely team for the fifth-year pro forward.

According to Sportrac, Williams is in the first year of his five-year $90 million contract extension he signed with the Bulls this past summer. He will be under contract with Chicago until the 2-28-29 season, but he has a player option for his final year.

The Bulls forward averages 9.4 points per game this season and has shooting splits of 38.0/36.4/83.0. While he won’t be a “star-caliber player” that the Suns are looking for, he can add to the team’s depth at the forward position, and he can be the key to possible future trade deals.
Phoenix Suns wingman being linked to the Milwaukee Bucks
There has been a considerable buzz generated by the rumor that the Phoenix Suns want to acquire Jimmy Butler in a trade deal with the Miami Heat. For the deal to push through, however, the Suns might need to involve Bradley Beal in the negotiations.

However, it seems like there is another team that wants Beal to join their Ranks. In Sunday’s episode of “The Stein Line,” host Marc Stein said that the Milwaukee Bucks are interested in acquiring the Suns guard.
Like Butler, however, there are certain issues that complicate the proposed trade. Firstly, Beal has a no-trade clause in his contract, which means that the Suns’ front office cannot trade the guard unless he himself wants it.

Second is the Suns and the Bucks being second-apron teams, which means neither team can send multi players out via trade to match the salary of a single player they are interested in acquiring.
If the franchises involved want to come through with the trade around Bradley Beal, then other teams must be involved.
