The Joker finally broke his Taco Bell curse because Nikola Jokic, the three-time MVP who’s been dodging Quesaritos since his 2014 draft night got hijacked by a commercial, finally took a bite. And the internet lost its mind.
ESPN’s Shams Charania dropped the footage Friday, catching Jokic in the Nuggets locker room mid-chew. The big man looked about as thrilled as someone filing taxes. His face said everything– this wasn’t some hype moment. Just a dude eating fast food while injured, getting roasted in real time by millions.

The backstory makes this gold. When Denver snagged Jokic at pick 41 in 2014, nobody saw it happen. ESPN was running a Taco Bell ad for the Quesarito instead. The second-round steal became an all-timer, but the moment got buried under burrito marketing. The 30-year-old swore off Taco Bell completely until now.
Taco Bell brought the Quesarito back in December 2025 after ditching it in 2020. They pitched Jokic hard, trying to bury the hatchet. The partnership dropped this week, complete with Shams playing videographer. It’s branded content–#TacoBellPartner sits right there in the post. But that didn’t stop the slander.
NBA Fans Mock Jokic’s Depressing Quesarito Moment
The video hit different as the Serbian native sits there, casually munching while rehabbing his hyperextended knee. Despite spotting the camera, he gave a blank expression and kept eating.
Hoops Twitter turned savage quickly after his blank expression. Many saw comedy in the mundane moment, while others went straight for the throat.
One fan wrote, “Corny fat fuck.”
Another added, “Sometimes you need a good diarrhea to flush out the system.”
A third noted, “Fat piece of shit can’t help himself.”
The fourth shared, “Cringe asf.”
A fifth fan claimed, “Shit was nasty guarantee.”
A random X user penned, “Only Shams could break this culinary scandal. Jokic, keep enjoying that Quesarito. Your post-game ritual is more formal than some team meetings.”
This is peak Jokic – -no theatrics, no forced hype. The best player in the league just became a fast-food meme again, only this time he seems aware of it — at least a little.
