New York Knicks are desperate for a win and they finally got one after five tries when they hosted their rivals Brooklyn Nets and handed them their worst loss ever in their franchise. The 120-66 defeat, according to Jordi Fernandez, was because of their lack of preparations and he is taking responsibility.

The Nets fell to their third straight loss, their eighth in the last 10 after the troubled Knicks found their mojo back on the defense. They capped off the nightmare by Nets by limiting them to just 10 points in the fourth quarter.
Only two players – Michael Porter Jr. and Ziaire Williams – scored in double digits for the Nets. They collectively shot 29.1 percent on the field.
Fernandez did not mince words in describing the loss.
“It was a pretty disastrous game, perhaps the worst we’ve had so far, a painful experience, but the players have to understand that it is my responsibility,” he said after the game.

Knicks, who have their share of struggle, did not need a special game from either Jalen Brunson or Karl-Anthony Towns but they shared the ball a lot, leading to 28 assists against Nets’ 15.
Jordi Fernandez said they will be better
Nets hit rock bottom and Fernandez said there’s no way but up. It will start with himself.
“Work and have positive energy. So, I believe in the players, I believe in the coaches and this doesn’t stop the plan that we have,” he said.

“It’s just, you know, obviously a tough experience to go through, but we’ll be better. Me the first one.”
The next four games will be extra challenging for his young squad. On their schedule are the Boston Celtics followed by a four-game West Coast trip against Los Angeles Clippers, Phoenix Suns, Denver Nuggets, and Utah Jazz.
