Jordan Poole is starting a new era with the New Orleans Pelicans. It is his third team and he has written a solid career so far. He has a lot to be thankful for with the Golden State Warriors with his one championship and development into a great scorer from posting 8 points per game in his rookie season to his 20.8 in 2023.

What about the Washington Wizards? What does he have to be thankful for? There might be a lot less to discuss. As it appears, Poole does not feel great about his crowd there.
The 26-year-old shooting guard is having a great time with his new team and he gave props for the warm reception he has been receiving from the fans.
“I loved it. Oh my God, I loved it,” Poole said during practice.
“I went back and told all my people. It feels so good to be in an environment where the fans are engaged and you can feel the electricity in there. You can feel the positive energy. You can feel the fans chanting.”
It would have been great if he stopped there but he had to hurt Wizards’ feelings in the process.
“The last three years [in Washington]… dead in there. It was dead in Capital One.”

It is interesting to see if Wizards will give him a tribute when he gets back. Barring any development that will make him miss the game, Poole will visit Capital One Arena on January 9 next year. Pelicans will then welcome the Wizards on March 8.
How’s Jordan Poole doing so far in Pelicans?
It is still early to say if Poole is in a better organization now. The Pelicans aren’t exactly better with the Wizards with their continued lack of playoff success. There’s even notion that Pelicans are cursed with their key players getting injured from time to time.
Stat-wise, he is looking good. He is averaging 19 points per game and played 41 minutes in the last one. However, his team dropped both games, with the last one against the San Antonio Spurs and Victor Wembanyama going into overtime.

His teammates has confidence with his arrival, especially star Zion Williamson who thinks he can be their Allen Iverson who they can set up for offense.
“I think another thing with Poole is that social media has this kind of portrayed image of him. When you get around him, he is a dog. He is a competitor. He is a good dude to be around,” Williamson shared.
“I said it before, and I’m going to say it again: I’m glad (Poole) is on this team with us.”
