Mikal Bridges led the New York Knicks in scoring during their 119-92 road rout of the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday evening, as he had 30 points, four assists, and four three-pointers on an efficient 12-for-15 shooting from the field across 36 minutes of action.
Before this, Bridges hadn’t breached the 20-point mark in the past five games. The New York Knicks swingman said he felt the need to be aggressive, especially since Jalen Brunson was having an off night, having finished with only 13 points on 5-for-13 shooting from the field.
“In the past weeks… I think the past weeks I was just, just feeling like I wasn’t being coachable to my standard,” Bridges told the New York Post. “I don’t know what it was — maybe I was feeling too entitled.
“But it was something where I had to sit down and talk to myself a little bit, and just look at yourself in the mirror and what type of player I want to be. It was affecting me personally on both sides of the ball,” he added.

New York Knicks News: OG Anunoby complemented Mikal Bridges’ solid performance with his two-way play
OG Anunoby was the New York Knicks’ second-leading scorer yesterday, notching 26 points, three rebounds, and five assists on 11-for-18 shooting from the field across 34 minutes of action. The one-time NBA champion also drew praise for his defense, which yielded him six steals and two blocks.
“(Anunoby) had six steals, seven deflections. Those numbers are unheard of defensively,” head coach Mike Brown said of Anunoby. “The thing I loved about OG was his ability to attack the rim. He attacked the rim like a grown man. His finishes were unbelievable.”
The New York Knicks extended their unbeaten run to four games. And with the Boston Celtics losing to the Atlanta Hawks, they reclaimed the second seed in the Eastern Conference, despite being level at 29-18.
