The New York Knicks suffered a 112-101 loss against the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday night, as they lost Jalen Brunson early, and head coach Mike Brown blasted the team for their poor showing on the offensive end.
The team was trailing 16-8 when Brunson left the court, and they never recovered. The New York Knicks shot an abysmal 8-for-41 from three-point land and 39-for-100 from the field. Meanwhile, the Sacramento Kings went 10-for-27 from three-point land and 35-for-74 from the field.
“We didn’t respond. We didn’t respond at all,” Brown told the New York Post. “I got to give the Kings credit because they took it to us. And we didn’t respond in any way, shape, or form. But even before Jalen got hurt, we weren’t following the game plan. And I’m not sure why.”
“But we were kind of just out there, just going through the motions. And if you go through the motions in this league, it doesn’t matter. You’re going to get your behind kicked. And we got our behind kicked,” he added.

New York Knicks News: Jalen Brunson suffers right ankle injury in loss vs. Sacramento Kings
The New York Knicks suffered a massive lineup blow, as Jalen Brunson sustained a sprained right ankle in the first quarter and did not return on Wednesday night during their loss against the Sacramento Kings.
Brunson hurt his foot after rolling his ankle while making a move on Maxime Raynaud. The New York Knicks star walked off the court on his own power, but didn’t return. He finished with four points in five minutes of action.
The New York Knicks missed Brunson for two games last November due to the same right ankle sprain against the Orlando Magic. He also missed a huge chunk of their schedule last season due to the same injury against the Los Angeles Lakers in March.
