At this point, there’s no question as to who the New York Knicks‘ cornerstone superstar is. This honor belongs to Jalen Brunson, who proved this past season that he is capable of leading this team to glory.
Brunson’s tenure with the Knicks, however, appears to be coming to an end — at least according to the All-Star point guard himself.
New York Knicks News: Jalen Brunson Butt-Dialled Tom Thibodeau
In a recent revelation on X, formerly Twitter, Brunson shared how he inadvertently called head coach Tom Thibodeau while his phone was in his pocket. Apparently, Coach Thibs may have heard some things that he wasn’t supposed to:
“Just butt dialed Thibs while having a conversation with the fellas. Yeah it’s over yall it’s been real 🙏🏽,” Brunson wrote.

Unfortunately, Brunson did not disclose who he was with or what the nature of their conversation was. Either way, the 27-year-old seems to believe that it’s bad enough for Thibs to kick him off the squad.
Obviously, Brunson was just kidding around — not about the butt-dialing part but about the fact that the Knicks would ever consider getting rid of him. Brunson is going to be eligible to sign an extension soon and you can be sure that the front office will do everything in their power to make sure that the former Villanova star doesn’t go anywhere.
