New York Knicks news: WWE Smackdown came to town on Friday night in Madison Square Garden. Sitting ringside was Knicks star Jalen Brunson, who naturally, was cheered on by the capacity crowd the moment he was shown on the big screen.

Little did the fans know that the All-Star guard would actually take part in the show in what turned out to be an epic moment featuring an NBA rival.

Brunson acknowledged the adoring fans when he was introduced, and it’s clear that the 27-year-old was having the time of his life enjoying the show:

Later in the evening, Logan Paul brought out a surprise guest with him as the YouTuber turned professional wrestler made his way to the ring for his match. This came in the form of Indiana Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton, who just happened to be the same man who knocked Brunson and the Knicks out of the playoffs this past season.

Haliburton just had to acknowledge Brunson’s ring-side presence. It just wasn’t a cordial interaction between the two NBA superstars, though:

Things escalated between the pair and it ultimately led to Brunson bringing a steel chair to the ring:

    That was epic.

We all know that this was staged and that these two don’t really have any bad blood against each other. Or do they?
