Nika Muhl, Seattle Storm guard, turned heads when she showed up to the WNBA Draft Day event. Muhl actually had a pretty strong reason to turn up to the function, as she wanted to support her former UConn Huskies teammate, Paige Bueckers. Bueckers was the No.1 Draft pick and was selected by the Dallas Wings.
After playing as teammates for the UConn Huskies for several seasons, Muhl and Bueckers seem to have struck up a sibling-like relationship. In fact, in the previous WNBA draft, Bueckers showed up to show her love for Nika Muhl as she was drafted by the Seattle Storm.
“It feels like a full circle moment. Even if she wasn’t here last year, I’d still be supporting her. That’s my sister and it’s so cool to see her dreams come true.” Nika Muhl said at the WNBA Draft, about Paige Bueckers.

Paige Bueckers has been on fire, especially in her senior year with the UConn Huskies. Last week, the UConn Huskies made history and won the NCAA tournament in the finals against the South Carolina Gamecocks. Bueckers was one of the lead scorers for the team, putting up 17 points, while Sarah Strong and Azzi Fudd each matched 24 points for the UConn Huskies.
In last year’s WNBA draft, Nika Muhl was selected by the Seattle Storm as the 14th overall pick in the second round of the draft. Muhl didn’t do much in the 2024 WNBA season for the Storm, and put up 0.1 points in each game as an average, grabbing 0.6 rebounds and assisting 0.4 times.

Nika Muhl Served Looks At The 2025 WNBA Draft Orange Carpet
Nika Muhl is easily one of the most fashionable WNBA players right now, out there with Angel Reese, Cameron Brink and others. Muhl showed up to the recently held WNBA Draft Day, not only to support her close friend Paige Bueckers, but to also flaunt her chic sense of style. Muhl’s look was truly appreciated by the fashion police, as the Seattle Storm guard wore a charcoal blazer with matching pants.

Muhl also carried a black mini-bag and rocked shades. However, the most eye-catching accessory was of course not her belly-button piercing, but her cross-body chain which had a great ensemble of keys, including car keys hanging off them. After a sub-par rookie season last year, Muhl will be keeping her fingers crossed to do a whole lot better in the upcoming WNBA season next month.
