The Houston Rockets-Denver Nuggets Sunday game might have ended in the most controversial way but between Nikola Jokic and Denver Nuggets, it is all about recognizing greatness.

The game went into overtime after a long last 2 minutes in the regulation. Nuggets pounced on their visitors in the extra five minutes to get the win, 128-125.
KD scored 25 points in the loss and played 44 minutes while Jokic had another massive triple double of 39-15-10. The Nuggets star also had two blocks and two steals. He fouled out of the game but Durant thought the game still came easy for the Joker.
“You can’t do nothing different against him. He’s 13 of 27. I mean, he’s usually a 60% shooter. He also had four turnovers and fouled out. So we attacked him, we made him miss as much as he’s gonna miss, and we made him turn the ball over,” Durant said.
“But somebody all game, every game… of course he’s going to get numbers. That’s the name of the game. But he wasn’t as efficient as he usually is, even though he was still great tonight. But we can still win with him scoring 39, 40 points. You’ve seen that before.”

Jokic is returning the praises. He thought scoring is too easy for his Rockets counterpart.
“He needs so little time, so little space. He had a big three at the end of [regulation]. He needs so little time. I mean, he’s an amazing scorer. He’s an amazing player. A legendary player. You’re trying to make someone else beat you in that moment,” he said when asked about Durant.
Nikola Jokic gave his flowers to Alperen Sengun
Another storyline to watch out for heading into the game was the match up between Jokic and Alperen Sengun who flopped the last time they met.
The latter played better this time and basically equaled the Nugget star’s production with 33-10-10. This is the first time ever in NBA when two centers recorded triple double in the same game.

Jokic recognized the development Sengun is having but he wants people to recognize the Turkish star for the way he is not because they play similar style.
“People need to stop comparing us. He’s an amazing player by himself.
“He needs to be recognized by who he is. He’s definitely a talented player. He needs to be recognized as Alperen Sengun.”
