Denver Nuggets superstar Nikola Jokic already has three season MVPs. Maybe it is time for him to go for the scoring champion title? Can he do it? Aaron Gordon believes his teammate can wreak more havoc in scoring once he decides to do it.

Jokic, who has been an MVP contender in the past half decade, never averaged above 30 points in his career. So far. However, for Gordon, getting to 40 a night is no problem for the Serbian star.
“Joker is a monster. He’s a monster,” Gordon said in The Old Man and the Three podcast.
“He’s 7’1 and has the best floater in the NBA. What do you do about that? You know what I mean? He could average 40 if he wanted to. 40-45 points. He could average that.”

The highest scoring average in the history of the NBA was 50.4 points achieved by Wilt Chamberlain in 196-62 season. He also owns the second, third, and fourth spot of the highest season average list.
Nikola Jokic enjoys something else
Jokic affects every facet of the game. He is a triple double machine but to Gordon, if ever he decides to leave the others and focus on scoring, he can do it.
“He could average that if he would just put his head down and just got to it and just boogied every game,” Gordon continued.

“But he likes the assist, he likes to facilitate. He likes to get everybody involved. There’s nobody like him right now in the NBA.”
Jokic playing the way he does has done wonders for the franchise. They won their first ever title in 2023 with him being adjudged as the Finals MVP. Many of the players he worked also blossomed and best example of that is Aaron Gordon.
