The Miami Heat recorded a spirit-lifting win over East favorites Cleveland Cavaliers but then they followed it up with a loss to the same team that this time played without three of their starters. This is why Norman Powell calls it a bad loss.
Cavs played without Donovan Mitchell, Darius Garland, and Evan Mobley.

“That’s a very bad loss,” he said when asked about the frustration he felt about the result.
“They’re a good team but when they’re sitting their starters that’s when we have to put our stamp on the game and not give them any life. So, it’s a bad loss especially after the game we just had earlier against them.”
He also declared what they needed to do on Friday which he sees also sees as a tough assignment.
“We gotta turn the page quickly about it. Turn the game against a [New York] Knicks that’s gonna be hungry and playing well. We beat them here so I know they wanna protect homecourt. It’s nothing that’s gonna be easy.”

The Heat, who are now at 7-5, beat the Cavs the other through an alley-oop dunk by Andrew Wiggins when there was only 0.4 seconds left in regulation. However, they failed to make a repeat not 24 hours after when they succumbed to a 116-130 loss after they got dusted in the fourth quarter, 19-37.

Norman Powell’s All-Star worthy stats
Powell is a newcomer in the Heat after moving there last summer but he’s been playing like a man on a mission.
He scored 27 points in the second night against the Heat, which is a continuation of his scoring spree after being out for three games starting in October 28 against his former team Los Angeles Clippers.

He currently averages 24.8 points per game, his follow up to his statement during pre-season that he can still be a budding star at 32 years old.
Powell just beat Lebron James’ start with the franchise in 2010 as he posted 196 points in his first eight games. King James only had 165 in the same number of starts.
