Norman Powell has easily got acclimated to the Miami Heat and many fans think he embodies the team’s popular culture – an underdog who always fights no matter the circumstances.

Powell, who joined the Florida organization this summer from the Los Angeles Clippers, is currently Miami’s top scorer with 24.8 points per game. He also posts 3.6 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 1.1 steals each outing while 44.5 percent from the three. It does not matter if Tyler Herro who missed the first 19 games of the season has returned. He still delivers the scoring.

How did the 32-year-old got comfortable with the Heat system that easy? It is because he knows and learned about the Heat Culture. He learned it through Miami legend and another player that did not even play for the franchise.
“It is taught. Some people have the innate natural ability to be able to have that. But for me, it was taught to me, or shown to me. And then watching and studying Dwyane Wade and Kobe and their approach,” he said during a guesting on The Young Man and The Three podcast.

“Oh this is why you do it. Okay, if I envision myself and I want to be at this level, this is what I got to do. So it was taught and shown to me, then I implemented it.”
Norman Powell, Heat remains confident
Powell is having a great time with his new team. However, things are extra challenging lately as they suffer three straight losses.
They are not bothered though. Powell thought they had ‘good losses’ and they just need to rediscover their identity.

“I don’t think we’re too concerned right now. If you look at the four of five we lost, we could easily be 4-1. Gotta get back to who we are and our identity offensively and defensively, especially in this game, no excuse to lose back-to-back,” Powell told reporters after their loss to the Sacramento Kings on Saturday.
“Just tightening up the little things, how we want to play, the flow, and the play style we want to get back to over the course of the year so far.”
The other losses came from the Dallas Mavericks and Orlando Magic which will be their next opponent on Tuesday.
