Denver Nuggets star Nikola Jokic can be said as a type of player who is one-of-one. The way he plays is not something you usually see. However, from time to time, there’s someone that comes that people say play like him.

One of them is Houston Rockets’ Alperen Sengun whose tag as a Jokic clone got validated in the last Euro2025 when he sent his team Turkey to a runner up finish, coming just second after Germany.
Sengun has been getting the Jokic comparison even before the summer tournament and it is hard to deny for him. He moves slow like Jokic. He is deceptive, he can shoot threes, a good rebounder, and a good passer. He has gravity and all of that at only 23 years old.
The Rockets big man earned his first All-Star last season and deservedly so. He is turning into a star and for Jokic, people should not get caught with comparison as he believes the 2021 16th overall pick is a star of his own.
“I think people connect me with him, but I think we’re different type of players. He’s an amazing player,” he said ahead of their match up on Friday.
“You can see some similarities, but I don’t want people to see him and tell me he’s something like me. He’s a good enough player to have his own story.”

Nikola Jokic has the same message for Pelicans rookie
Another player being viewed as someone play with Jokic is rising star Derik Queen of the New Orleans Pelicans but the three-time MVP is consistent.
He and Queen met on Tuesday and the rookie got his attention. He also saw the similarities of their style of play but his message to the kid is simple.

“I think I’m a little bit taller, but I think there is that style, I guess you’d say, crafty,” he said. “I could see it, yeah.”
