The Oklahoma City Thunder secured a 121-111 road victory over the Denver Nuggets on Sunday evening, as Cason Wallace stepped up on the offensive end and caught fire from three-point range.
The 22-year-old combo guard was actually the Oklahoma City Thunder’s second-leading scorer behind Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, contributing 27 points, six rebounds, two steals, and seven three-pointers on 9-for-14 shooting from the field in 30 minutes of action.
“My teammates found me,” Wallace said via The Oklahoman’s Joe Mussatto. “And I had a lot of confidence before the ball went up.”
“He shot the ball great tonight, but I don’t want that to overshadow the fact that he’s amazing on defense for us every single night. It’s great to have a guy like that out there,” Chet Holmgren said of Wallace. “He tried to run from it, but he accepted it. Hopefully, we get to do it again.”

Oklahoma City Thunder News: Chet Holmgren expresses gratitude for being named an NBA All-Star for the first time
Chet Holmgren was among the NBA All-Star reserves selected by the coaches, and Oklahoma City Thunder forward thanked his supporters for inspiring him this season. This means the team will have another unique All-Star duo in their franchise’s history.
“I just have a lot of people to be thankful for,” Holmgren said. “I always say I’ll never play for or chase things of that nature, but that doesn’t mean the gratitude for it, understanding the gravity of it, isn’t there.”
Holmgren is one of the reasons the Oklahoma City Thunder still have the league’s best record, despite missing several key players. The one-time NBA champion averages 17.8 points, 8.6 rebounds, and 2.0 blocks on 57.1 percent shooting from the field across 43 regular season appearances.
