    Oklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is gunning for this season’s MVP, and his bid has drawn massive praise from Minnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards.

    “He’s looking like the MVP, man,” Edwards said via NBA on TNT.

    “The best satisfaction is when your peers recognize and respect your craft,” Gilgeous-Alexander responded.

    Gilgeous-Alexander has been the driving force behind the Oklahoma City Thunder’s 44-10 record, good for first in the Western Conference. The Canadian international averages 32.5 points (league-high), 5.1 rebounds, 6.1 assists, and 1.9 steals on 50/35/86 shooting splits across 53 starts.

    Because of his fine performances, Gilgeous-Alexander will represent the Oklahoma City Thunder in the NBA All-Star weekend.

    The Oklahoma City Thunder’s seven-game winning streak was snapped by the Minnesota Timberwolves last night with a score of 116-101.

    Shai Gilgeous-Alexander had a rough night shooting the ball, going 2-for-13 in the first half. The three-time NBA All-Star finished the match with 24 points, eight rebounds, and nine assists on 6-for-21 shooting from the field and 11-for-11 from the charity stripe.

    Naz Reid led the Minnesota Timberwolves with 27 points, 14 rebounds, and seven assists on 11-for-18 shooting from the field. Anthony Edwards, Jaden McDaniels, Nickeil Alexander-Walker, and Terrence Shannon Jr. added 23, 21, 14, and 13 points.
