Desmond Bane has hit a rich vein in form during the Orlando Magic’s three-game winning streak. After recording 15 points against the Philadelphia 76ers last Tuesday, the 27-year-old guard notched back-to-back 37 games against the Detroit Pistons and the Chicago Bulls.

By doing so, Bane became the first Orlando Magic player to score at least 37 points in consecutive games since Tracy McGrady did it in three straight games in March 2004.
“Shout out T-Mac, first and foremost,” Bane said via Ryan Kaminski on X (formerly known as Twitter). “I work every summer to be the most complete basketball player I can be. I’m nowhere where I wanna be, but I feel like my game’s in a place where I can impact a game in a lot of different ways.”

Bane received plenty of help from his teammates in the 125-120 victory, as Franz Wagner, Aaron Black, Wendell Carter Jr., and Jalen Suggs added 25, 22, 17, and 10 points, respectively.
Orlando Magic News: Jamahl Mosley praises Anthony Black for stepping up
Anthony Black is also doing well for the Orlando Magic lately, as the 21-year-old guard has scored in double digits in eight consecutive games. Against the Chicago Bulls, he had 22 points, nine rebounds, three assists, and two blocks on 8-for-15 shooting.

“Anthony played so many dang minutes, I just considered him a starter at that point. He was great. He absolutely was great in that second half. He decided to turn it up, attacking the basket, getting stops, leading out on the break, stepping into his shot with confidence,” head coach Jamahl Mosley said of Black via Jason Beede of the Orlando Sentinel.
“All those are little pieces that we’ve continued to ask him to do and be, but it wasn’t a pretty win,” he continued. “But it is a win, and we’ve got to learn from it because we can’t flip it on and off.”
