Tim Legler recently labeled Tristan da Silva one of the “big winners” of the recently concluded FIBA EuroBasket tournament. According to the long-time analyst and former NBA journeyman, the Orlando Magic swingman could likely see more playing time this upcoming season.

“I thought he was a phenomenal player in this game, and I thought he popped in most of this tournament as a guy that I was like, ‘He’s doing NBA stuff.'” Legler said on the ALL NBA Podcast.
“Obviously, he’s an NBA player, but impressive NBA stuff. And he was not just one of the guys; he was a standout, in my opinion… On this team, to have a guy like that when you’ve got all this other talent, who’s more than just this added-on piece… The guy’s a really good player, and his defense was a huge part of this,” he added.

To Legler’s point, da Silva was one of Germany’s most productive players in the continental tournament. The Orlando Magic swingman averaged 10.4 points and 3.6 rebounds on 55.7 percent shooting from the field and 52.9 percent from three-point land.
Former Orlando Magic guard has high hopes for Paolo Banchero
Orlando Magic forward Paolo Banchero recently gained a fan in Mike Miller, as the two-time NBA champion believes that the sky is the limit for the former in terms of potential.

“Tip of the iceberg,” Miller said about Banchero’s potential in The 5tandard. “Paolo’s biggest thing was just, ‘How can I be the best basketball player?’ Like he just cared about basketball. That’s rare.”
“The one thing I’ll say about him and why I’ll bet on him all day long is cause he absolutely loves it and dives into it. I think he’s this new era. He’s 6’10”-6’11”, 270, moves like a guard, plays like a guard. I think he has a chance to be one of the best. I would bet everything that he’s going to be one of those dudes that we talk about for the longest time,” he added.
