    Orlando Magic

The Orlando Magic were quite remarkable in their previous season, finishing with an overall 47-35. Orlando’s defense was definitely one for the books, a brain-child of head coach Jamahl Mosley. The Magic’s defense was ranked third-best in the league under Mosley’s leadership. Key players for the Magic last year were Paolo Banchero, Franz Wagner and Jalen Suggs. The Orlando Magic are coming here after winning 114-99 against the 76ers in the preseason finale.

    Players to watch:

Paolo Banchero: 22.5 PPG 6.9 RPG 5.4 APG 0.9 SPG

Franz Wagner: 19.7 PPG 5.3 RPG 3.7 APG 1.1 SPG

Jalen Suggs: 12.6 PPG 3.1 RPG 2.7 APG 1.4 SPG

    Miami Heat

The Miami Heat were slightly better in the 2023-24 season, when compared to the previous one. However, the Heat still did not play to their potential, finishing with an overall 46-36 record on the season. Miami’s stars, Jimmy Butler and Terry Rozier both had their share of injuries, and missed a substantial part of the season. Still, Miami continued to push forward thanks to players like Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro stepping up their game.

    Players to watch:

Jimmy Butler: 20.8 PPG 5.3 RPG 5.0 APG 1.3 SPG

Tyler Herro: 20.8 PPG 5.3 RPG 4.5 APG 0.7 SPG

Bam Adebayo: 19.3 PPG 10.4 RPG 3.9 APG 1.1 SPG
