Indiana Pacers badly need help. They are currently the worst team in the Eastern Conference with a 13-39 record. Will they get one from their own star Tyrese Haliburton?
The two-time All-Star hasn’t played a game this season which according to initial plans will be sent on his full recovery. He suffered a torn ACL in Game 7 of the NBA Finals against Oklahoma City Thunder that basically ended the Pacers’ magical 2025 playoffs run.

Pascal Siakam, an All-Star for 2026 despite their atrocious record, is doing his best but his efforts are just not enough.
Haliburton said he is already feeling good. However, he does not see any reason to return at all.
“I think mentally things go up and down, especially during this course of the season, not having a ton of success this season. Things go up and down,” he said in an interview with NBA on Prime.
“I don’t feel a pressure or anything to come back and play right now. I feel really good, I’m in a really good space. Just started playing like 3 on 3, 4 on 4. I’m getting there slowly.”

Tyrese Haliburton getting busy with off-court gigs
Haliburton returning will appear a ridiculous idea for the Pacers. They are not fighting for anything and he might just got hurt.
For now, the 25-year-old guard is busy with his side gigs. He is a player contributor for NBA on Prime hosted by Dirk Nowitzki, Blake Griffin, and Steve Nash. Prime said they hired the 2025 NBA finalist because of the way he reads the game.

He appeared in Lebron James’ Mind the Game podcast last week where the Los Angeles Lakers star talked to him about his basketball knowledge. He also said there that Pacers’ style of play is being copied by NBA teams now after their last season’s success.
Just the other day, he was honored by his former school and got inducted to the Oshkosh North Hall of Fame. The school declared February 5 as the Tyrese Haliburton Day.
