Paige Bueckers and the UConn Huskies’ triumph is still celebrated. The Huskies won a huge game against the South Carolina Gamecocks, and Bueckers played a huge role in their success. Bueckers carried the team forward throughout the season, helping them to be undefeated in conference play.

The future WNBA star took to social media to share a series of images of their championship celebration. While her post received plenty of love from fans, her former teammate Nika Muhl commented on it.

Paige Bueckers captioned her series of images saying:

“God did! We did! National Champs.”

The former UConn Huskies star Nika Muhl commented on her images saying Bueckers’ journey deserves to be made into a Netflix documentary.

“This story deserves a Netflix documentary, love you proud of you,” Nika Muhl wrote.

Paige Bueckers Reflects On Her Success And Hard Journey To Win The Championship

In a recent interview, Bueckers reflected on her success and the tough journey to the championship. The Huskies star talked about the long road she had taken to make her dream come true finally.

“It was a journey of resilience of overcoming adversity. I wouldn’t trade it for the world just because it became such a beautiful story. It was a remarkable journey with obstacles, ups and downs, highs and lows of keeping the faith or working extremely hard. And I really wouldn’t trade it just to have that overwhelming sense of gratitude for life the appreciation that comes through your way and then to cap it all with this, it’s just been amazing,” Paige Bueckers said.

Bueckers also touched upon her relationship with head coach Geno Auriemma and how he shaped her into being a leader.

“More than shaping me to be a better basketball player, to be a better human being, I think he’s taught me how to be a leader. It’s something I want to take with me for the rest of my life. He’s one of the greatest for sure,” Bueckers said.

Bueckers further mentioned she will miss Auriemma’s sense of humor and his sarcasm. The Huskies star is also believed to be the first pick in the WNBA draft. Many speculate that Paige Bueckers will play for the Dallas Wings. Bueckers is ready for the next step in her journey as she gladly embraces the opportunity to play in the big league.
