Indiana Pacers have tempered expectations heading to the big season as they are the most fractured with the injury to their star Tyrese Haliburton. Being aware will lessen the pain when they lose games. That’s not how Pascal Siakam is feeling right now after 30 games.

The Pacers are now the second worst team in the league with a 6-24 record, statistically the same with league worst Washington Wizards.
“I don’t look good out there most of the time just because I can’t stand it,” Pascal Siakam says of his mentality and the Pacers losses stacking up. “I’ve been working on it really, really hard to be positive no matter what.”
He admitted he’s searching for his fun.

Pacers just suffered their sixth straight loss in the hands of rivals Milwaukee Bucks. They are 2-8 in their last 10.

Siakam, who averages 23.8ppg, scored 15 in the loss against a team that is much more depleted but just as desperate as them. Giannis Antetokounmpo remains out for the Bucks after a calf injury two weeks ago.
Haliburton won’t be back to rescue them as the star guard recently said he will only do 1-on-1 by the end of this month.
Pascal Siakam appeals to team to have some pride
Personnel will be hard to alter for Rick Carlisle and the Pacers right now. What should be done?
Dejected Siakam suggested it is about having a changed mindset and some sense of pride.
“When we decide that losing is not ok, we’re gonna go somewhere. But if we go out there every single day and it just feels like, okay, we lost another game, it does not matter, we’re just gonna keep sinking,” he told reporters after the game as quoted by Pacers reporter Alex Golden.

He also spoke in length about how they should not just accept their situation.
“I don’t think we’re gonna get out of it, until when you lose and you go home and it really hurts you. Like if it doesn’t matter, we’re just gonna keep coming in here and do the same thing and lose every night and it’s gonna be it is what it is.”
Pascal Siakam with a pretty extended discussion on how tough this has been and the long story short is he’s just had enough of this, but still desperately wants to do something to turn it around.

Pacers will have a two-day rest but the next three will be an extra challenge for them as they take on Boston Celtics, Miami Heat, and Houston Rockets to wrap up 2025.
