The Philadelphia 76ers have lost three games in a row, and it’s been a testament of their inconsistent season. With two crucial losses to the Detroit Pistons and Milwaukee Bucks, Philly has been simply dropping the ball.
What makes it so bad is that Milwaukee was without Giannis Antetokounmpo and Detroit was missing Cade Cunningham.
There are no excuses for this 76ers team (who had Joel Embiid in both games) to lose these games.
The Standings Look Rough For The 76ers

Philadelphia has been struggling all year to stay in the playoff race. They are currently the eleventh seed and aren’t even in the play-in tournament as of right now.
In the last ten games, they are 5-5 and that’s been the story of their entire lackluster season. One word that describes this team’s play is average.
They are just two games back of entering the play-in tournament, but they have to keep their foot on the gas.
A Disaster Waiting
Injuries have loomed over the team for years, and the 2024-25 season is unfortunately no different.
Joel Embiid revealed that he may need another knee surgery in the offseason, which can be a big risk or huge reward.

He has dealt with major lower body injuries dating back to college. Another surgery could impact his future very quickly, and playing in the Olympics isn’t looking too good right now.
Paul George has been a disappointment to say the absolute least. The $221 million dollar man was supposed to be a key piece to championship aspirations but has had his worst season in over a decade.

Bright Future Ahead?
Tyrese Maxey is the franchise guy for the 76ers, and their most trustworthy player moving forward. He is posting a career high in points per game with 28.1.

Philadelphia has a huge offseason ahead in terms of decision making. “The Process” has never fully loaded and many players should be on the table to set a new rebuild.
The 2024-25 season isn’t over yet, but it’s not looking good at all thus far for the 76ers to win.
