After spending five years playing for the Los Angeles Clippers, Paul George has joined former MVP big man Joel Embiid and All-Star guard Tyrese Maxey to help the Philadelphia 76ers compete next season. This is made possible by a hefty max contract bestowed on him by the City of Brotherly Love during free agency this offseason.
George was selected 10th overall by the Indiana Pacers in the 2010 NBA draft and went on to earn NBA All-Rookie Second Team honors. He had a breakout season in 2013, earning his first NBA All-Star selection and being named the NBA’s Most Improved Player.

George suffered a significant leg injury in 2014 while playing for the U.S. national team, but he was able to recover and continue his successful NBA career.
After spending the first seven seasons of his career with the Pacers, George was traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder in 2017. He then joined the Los Angeles Clippers in 2019, where he has continued to excel as one of the league’s top two-way players.
