Joel Embiid is Philadelphia 76ers’ biggest star and he is also the biggest question mark for the team next season and beyond.

The 2023 MVP played just 19 games last season, which many expected to be a great one for the team after they formed their own Big 3 with the signing of Paul George and the steady rise of Tyrese Maxey who was an All-Star in the season before.
Embiid was hounded by his knee injury that kept limited him to 39 games in the 2023-2024 season. He focused on recovery and now, it appears he is back in his top form.
The 76ers social media account posted updates on their superstar and Embiid was spotted doing post up moves. PG was also on the post doing lifts while their 2025 3rd overall pick VJ Edgecomb is dashing with a thunderous dunk.

Joel Embiid’s status according to Nick Nurse
Embiid and 76ers staff are all careful with his injury although the seven-time All-Star did say that he will be there for the training camp.
“We don’t have a timeline,” Embiid said back in July. “Hopefully, sooner rather than later.”
He learned his lesson and now, he won’t risk it anymore.
“We’re not going to push anything. For my whole career, I felt like we never took that approach.”
Head coach Nick Nurse provided an update in the middle of August saying he’s getting positive news about his star.

“I know he’s working very, very hard, and I think things look good,” the champion coach said.
“Whether he’s ready for training camp or not, I think there’s maybe a lot more decisions than that to make before we get there. But our main thing is that he’s healthy to play and play to his nearest capabilities.”
