The Phoenix Suns are not afraid despite the odds being stacked against them. That’s how Devin Booker is feeling when they take on league’s no. 1 team and defending champions Oklahoma City Thunder.

“It’s going to be a great test for us. They have it rolling,” he told reporters after their win over the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday.
“They’re playing some of the best basketball the NBA has ever seen. I’m excited to matchup against that. Another Cup game. We’re looking forward to that. We’ll see them Friday.”

Booker has been the Suns’ focal point in offense although he has been struggling lately.
Phoenix Suns can make history
It won’t just be another game for both teams as what’s at stake is an instant spot for the next round of the NBA Emirates Cup. Both teams are sitting on a 3-0 record and the one who losses will either go through the grueling process and computation of point differential.
Suns have been one of the more surprising teams this season, sitting at 6th spot of the Western Conference standings with a 12-7 record. They have lost just three times this November and strung up five straight wins at one point.

What’s more amazing is they are doing this with a fractured line up with Jalen Green yet to join them in full.
Beating OKC will be huge for Booker’s team. Thunder and Suns finished the eliminations last year with an identical 3-1 record but it was the former who advanced due to their 15-point differential.
