The Phoenix Suns lost two of their top guards in their 110-103 road defeat against the Atlanta Hawks, as Devin Booker and Jalen Green exited the game prematurely due to their leg injuries.
Green was in his second game back for the Phoenix Suns after missing 33 consecutive games with a hamstring injury, and the former second overall pick didn’t play after the first quarter due to precaution. On the other hand, Booker tweaked his ankle late in the third quarter, as he inadvertently stepped on Onyeka Okongwu’s foot when he was casually jogging back on offense.
“Pretty unlucky,” head coach Jordan Ott said of Booker’s injury via AZ Central’s Duane Rankin. “We’ll just have to take a look when we get back to Phoenix… You feel for them.”
“It sucks,” Mark Williams said of Green.” JG has done everything in his power, in his control to be back on the floor. Stuff behind the scenes that a lot of people don’t see. Hopefully it’s not serious, but it definitely sucks.”

Phoenix Suns News: Jordan Goodwin sends a clear message after Devin Booker and Jalen Green’s injuries
Devin Booker and Jalen Green are expected to miss at least their next game, which is a massive loss for the Phoenix Suns. During his postgame interview, Jordan Goodwin urged his teammates to use this chance to step up.
“It’s tough. Mostly frustrating, losing arguably the top two guards on our team. Especially when you go on a run, and our star player was laying on the ground like that,” Goodwin lamented.
“It’s what we’ve been dealing all season. I think our mindset’s still the same. We’ve been doing it all year. It’s time for other guys to step up… We know we can compete with anybody, no matter who’s out there, but our mindset’s still the same. We’ll be alright,” he ended.
