Phoenix Suns’ Grayson Allen Enters Stephen Curry Territory With NINE Triples Vs. Philadelphia 76ers

At the moment, you could make a case for Phoenix Suns guard Grayson Allen being the best long-distance shooter in the NBA right now who’s not named Stephen Curry. Allen furthered his case on Wednesday night by mind-blowingly draining nine triples in the Suns’ 115-102 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers.

What’s even more impressive is that this is not the first time this season Allen has hit nine triples in a single game.

It wasn’t the second time either. This was actually the third time Allen drained nine treys in a single contest — all of which came this season:

    Grayson Allen tonight:

    32 PTS
    10-17 FG
    9 3PM (ties franchise record)

His 3rd career game with 9+ 3PM… All of which have come THIS SEASON.

The only other guy to have more nine-plus games than Allen is the GOAT shooter himself, Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors, who has done it five times this year alone. This obviously speaks volumes of how amazing Allen has been from deep this season.

Allen, who is currently averaging 2.8 triples per contest on an NBA-best 47.8-percent clip, also made all sorts of history for the Suns franchise with yet another explosion on Wednesday night:

    Grayson Allen tonight:

    32 PTS
    5 AST
    9 3P

His 7th game with 8+ threes as a Sun. Nobody else in franchise history has more than two. https://t.co/Yhit10HzZJ

Grayson Allen has now tied the Suns franchise record for 3-pointers in a single game … THREE separate times this season.

Just waiting on that 10th triple to drop

Talk about a huge performance, right?

Allen spoke to reporters after the win to discuss his hot-shooting night. As always, the 28-year-old was quick to play down his heroics on the evening:

The ball just found my hands."

Allen finished with a game-high 32 points on 10-of-17 shooting. He went 9-of-15 from distance, while also adding three rebounds, five assists, a steal, and a block in 34 minutes of action.
