Even with a talented core of Devin Booker, Kevin Durant, and Bradley Beal, the Phoenix Suns still suffered their second consecutive loss to Anthony Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves. This prompted Booker to issue a serious warning to their opponents for the remainder of their series.

In that particular game, the Timberwolves went home with the 105-93 win over Phoenix. Jaden McDaniels surprised everyone by posting 25 points, eight rebounds, and three assists, while defending Kevin Durant. Rudy Gobert and Mike Conley contributed 18 points each, while Anthony Edwards and Karl-Anthony Towns made 15 and 12 points, respectively.

The Suns, on the other hand, had Devin Booker lead the way with 20 points withing 41 minutes on the floor. Kevin Durant dropped 18 points, while Bradley Beal tallied 14 points. For his part, Jusuf Nurkic controlled the paint by notching 10 points and 14 rebounds.

As seen in the numbers above, other guys from Minnesota’s lineup stepped when Edwards only connected 25 percent of his field goals. Fortunately, McDaniels took on the call and provide enough offense for the Timberwolves to gain the win. The loss, however, have sunk Phoenix to a deeper hole than before.

After the game, both Booker and Durant spoke to reporters about how their Game 2 against Minnesota went. In a video posted by Gerald Bourguet on X:

Booker’s full response: “Don’t count us out. It’s a series for a reason. I don’t think any road team’s won so far. I know that doesn’t have anything to do with us, but it’s just the situation that it is.” https://t.co/vSkAXRhwoA pic.twitter.com/WcHzVtMC5O

After playing the first two games in Minnesota, the series will now shift to Phoenix’s home court. Hopefully, having the crowd cheering for the Kevin Durant-led team can be the spark that fuels their first win against the Timberwolves.

At this point in time, Minnesota only needs to win two more games to advance to the next round. Even if that’s the case, facing a Suns team with their backs on the wall may prove to be an exciting development for NBA fans.
