Shawn Marion has the case for the worst shooting form in the NBA but Oso Ighadoro, a new Phoenix Suns member, might steal that title.

Ighadoro is yet to play significant minutes this season despite his great offseason showing but he is already going viral, only for the wrong season.
A clip of the 22-year-old forward is making rounds the internet because of his shooting that is out of ordinary. To many, it looked like he is having trouble lifting the ball.
“Shoots like a chemistry teacher visiting the hoop court at lunchtime,” said one user from the post made by AZ Central reporter Duane Rankin.

The video was flooded with unkind comments. One user even mockingly asked if it is AI.
“Why it looks like it hurts to shoot?,” said another.
“This has to be a worst shooting form than Shawn Marions??”

It is not hard to bring the name up of Marion as he unofficially owns the worst shooting form in the league.
Ighadoro’s job now is to match what Marion did for the Suns so that fans will overlook his shooting form.
Phoenix Suns rookie Oso Ighodaro’s playing style
To write the kid off might be harsh. Ighodaro was drafted 40th overall by the Suns in 2024. He has played just four games so far. The longest time he was on the floor was in the opening day against the Los Angeles Clippers where he played 12 minutes and scored 2 points.

People has seen his 3-point shooting form but it should be noted that he is more of a player who spends most his time under the basket. He played four years for Marquette but only took two three-pointers.
That is not his strength so he should get a pass.
The 6’9 Marquette alum is known for his footwork under the basket, good reading of the game, and effective off-the-ball movements.
Ighodaro is only a rookie and fans should be patient with him. He is an undersized center and putting him in the power forward position would be a liability. Good thing for him, the team is filled with veterans to help him out.
