    Portland Trail Blazers

The Portland Trail Blazers played their first pre-season game against the Los Angeles Clippers and lost by two points. The bright side is seeing a more comfortable Scoot Henderson, who scored 13 points, four rebounds, and three assists but committed seven turnovers. Toumani Camara led the team with 19 points and nine boards.

The surprise off the bench was Dalano Banton, who scored 11 points while chipping in five assists, four rebounds, two steals, and two blocks. Their top rookie pick, Donovan Clingan, had 7 points, five rebounds, and two assists.

    Players to watch:

Anfernee Simons: 22.6 PPG, 3.6 RPG, 5.5 APG

Jerami Grant: 21.0 PPG, 3.5 RPG, 2.8 APG

DeAndre Ayton: 16.7 PPG, 11.1 RPG, 1.6 APG, 1.0 BPG

    Sacramento Kings

The Sacramento Kings kicked off their pre-season matchup against the rival Golden State Warriors but lost by 10 points. DeMar DeRozan played his first game with his new team, and the mid-range expert shot perfectly from the field, scoring 15 points in 15 minutes.

Given the extra minutes off the bench, Alex Len and Isaac Jones each had 10 points. Boogie Ellis also impressed with double-digit scoring and expect him to see more time.
