Portland Trail Blazers guard Shaedon Sharpe has been turning heads during training camp, so much so that he’s been “cooking” one of the team’s top veterans.

That veteran was Jrue Holiday, who arrived on the team anew this summer via trade, and Portland Trail Blazers head coach Chauncey Billups likes what he’s seeing from the high-flying swingman.
“Shaedon, man, I think everybody kind of knows the talent that he is and what he can do,” Holiday told Casey Holdahl of Blazers.com. “But boy, he can hoop. He’s been cooking me.”

“Shaedon has been playing really well. He’s been practicing really well. I think he’s doing good on both sides of the ball right now. Offensively, he’s in a really nice rhythm. He’s getting where he wants to go with the ball, even against our pressure. We pressure, we’re very physical. So he’s been good,” Billups added.
Portland Trail Blazers Rumors: Shaedon Sharpe offered lucrative $100 million extension
Shaedon Sharpe appears to be headed for a major payday, as the 22-year-old guard is expected to receive a massive contract extension from the Portland Trail Blazers, worth up to four years, $100 million, per Jake Fischer of The Stein Line.

Sharpe has shown steady improvement since entering the league in 2022. Last season, the former seventh overall pick averaged 18.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 2.8 assists on 45.2 percent shooting from the field across 72 regular season appearances.
The Portland Trail Blazers reportedly want to lock down Sharpe as soon as they can before he hits restricted free agency next summer.
