The Indiana Pacers now have a player they would love to hate. And it is someone they used to love with all their heart. Myles Turner ‘betrayed’ his organization for 10 years, leaving their fanbase agitated.

It did not help, too, that Turner’s succeeding statement about his departure and time with the Pacers are not exactly kind. He said that he left them because he wants to remain competitive and he rejoices about his latest move saying he is finally in a place where he is appreciated.
All of these did not sit well with the fans but to his former teammates, they understand everything even if it is hard to accept.
Organization legend Reggie Miller is joining them in validating Turner’s controversial move. He cited many reasons why the two-time blocks leaders joined their rivals.

“Milwaukee, you guys got a good one,” he said before the broadcast of the Buck-Knicks game on Tuesday.
“He understands the game of basketball. He understands how to win. I am surprised that the Pacers didn’t give him what he wanted.”

How much did Pacers offer to Myles Turner?
Turner wanted to get paid and he received that from Bucks after securing a four-year, $108.9 million contract. Indiana front office claimed that they did not have the chance to negotiate with him but according to a report by The Athletic, they had that talk but the offer was far from what he was asking.
“A league source familiar with the conversations told The Athletic that even after a series of negotiations, the Pacers’ offer never extended past three years and never went above an average of $22 million per year,” wrote Eric Nehm.

Miller understood everything about Turner’s career move and reiterated everything that makes it a logical decision. He also drilled on his desire to play somewhere competitive. However, on this part, he has tempered expectation about the Bucks.
“Right now, the Pacers are a flux,” Miller said.
“The Bucks, they could be in the mix here for a Top 6, Top 5 seed in the Eastern Conference so it was a smart move for his part and he gets to play with one of best players in the game.”
