Can the Milwaukee Bucks season be saved if ever Giannis Antetokounmpo returns? That’s something they will deal with once the Greek Freak returns. The bigger question is if he will return at all.
Doc Rivers said he will. Antetokounmpo is dealing with his third injury of the season and have missed the last three games. Reports said he will be out for 4-6 weeks.

Rivers declare that he will return at some point. He also rued the fact that he hasn’t had a healthy roster since arriving in Milwaukee in December of 2023 as replacement to Adrian Griffin.
“Giannis is gonna play. I think Giannis is going to come back and play at some point. We just don’t know when that point is,” he said before the start of their game against Boston Celtics.
“He’s progressing. I’ve been here through two playoff series so far and I’ve yet to have a healthy team. Giannis wants to be healthy.”
Rivers’ latest statement is a double down on previous suggestions that Antetokounmpo should sit out the rest of the season.

Antetokounmpo, an MVP candidate in the first month of the season, averages 28 points, 10 rebounds, and six assists per game before going down.
Bucks Giannis Antetokounmpo will return to
Antetokounmpo re-injured his calf in loss to Denver Nuggets. He has missed 19 in games in total as of this writing and many points to this as the main reason why they are struggling.
Bucks suffered their fifth straight defeat after getting manhandled by the Boston Celtics to their season worst point total. Ryan Rollins was the only bright spot for them, putting up 25 points, 6 rebounds, and 7 assists.

They are 4.5 games out of the play-in spot and 8.5 games away from the sixth place. They started the season strong but injury to Antetokounmpo and players like Kevin Porter Jr. and Taurean Prince derailed the confidence they have.
