Dillon Brooks is not the type to remember the past fondly. Ask Memphis Grizzlies fans. This is why his moment with his former Houston Rockets coach Ime Udoka garnered some curious reactions.

The Phoenix Suns visited the Rockets who played without Kevin Durant and while Brooks had another great scoring game, his team failed to get the W.
He played his heart out again and there was even one moment when he dropped Steven Adams with a shoulder bump. That’s what Brooks is and Udoka can’t help but smile when he witnessed that moment.
The coach let his former player know during game time that many thought was confrontation between them.

Lip reading would suggest that Udoka is mentioning something about flopping to Brook’s ears. Udoka confirmed it and even suggested that he does not mind Brooks’ antics.
“We loved it. If you know me, I don’t mind that at all. What he did for our organization was invaluable,” he told reporters after the game.

Brooks confirmed it himself.
Dillon Brooks was asked by @DougHaller about what Ime Udoka told him after drawing an offensive foul.
“(He said) I flopped on the play, but I’ve never seen so many flops being rewarded on the other side. It honestly felt like I was in a FIBA game.” pic.twitter.com/fFgbRmjY0x

In the end, it’s all love between Brooks and his former colleagues.

Dillon Brooks thriving in Phoenix
Brooks do flop. He also loves mental games. He is an enforcer all his NBA life but lately, he has developed into a lethal scorer.
His roles have changed and Udoka is praiseful of the growth he is having with his new organization.

“He’s having the freedom to do a lot of things, with some guys missing with Jalen (Green) specifically. Playing at an extremely high level, scoring and shooting it,” Udoka said.
“Being extra aggressive. He’s going to bring that edge regardless on a nightly basis against everybody.”
