Dallas Mavericks are 4-1 in their last five with the only loss coming from the hands of the indomitable Oklahoma City Thunder. These good performances coincide with Cooper Flagg playing in his natural position at last.

Kevin Durant thinks the Mavs’ rookie is finally unleashing the potential everybody expected of him.
“Just from watching his film, he’s finally figuring it out,” Durant said after their game last Saturday.
“He’s just playing a well-rounded game. He’s tough. He can shoot the jump shot off the middy, he can shoot the three, he can get to the rim. I love his game.”

Rockets and the Mavs met over the weekend with the latter defying all expectations by coming out on top, 122-109. Jason Kidd’s squad used a third quarter surge (37-20) to create a huge separation between them and their visitors. Rockets managed to win the fourth quarter but it was not enough to erase the 17-point lead the Mavs built.
Flagg scored 19 points in the win and was all over the floor as he also had two steals and two blocks.
AD on what changed with Cooper Flagg
Another good thing happening to Dallas is the return of Anthony Davis. The two are building on and off court relationship and it is showing on the court save for that loss to the Thunder.
AD said that Flagg has been doing everything to learn the game, even urging him to be critical whenever he makes a bad play.

“He’s making big plays. I got onto him tonight about rebounding, he gave up a couple of offensive rebounds and he only had five rebounds and he looked at me and said ‘well you only got five too.’” Davis told reporters after the win against Houston.
“There was no excuse that I could give him but he wants to be held accountable, he wants to be great.”
