Russell Westbrook had a strong showing for the Denver Nuggets last season but it seems he won’t return there. He remains unsigned with less than a week before the training camp. Who should sign him?

A Fox Sports reporter thinks the Indiana Pacers should get the services of the 2017 MVP who once played in the East through the Washington Wizards.
“If [head coach Rick] Carlisle thinks a change is needed or injury presents itself, Westbrook can slide into the starting five,” the publication wrote.
“Westbrook thrived in a split sixth-man-starter role with the Nuggets last season, averaging 13.3 points, 6.1 assists, 4.9 rebounds and 1.4 steals in 27.9 minutes per contest (75 regular-season games, 36 starts); he solely came off the bench in the postseason.”
Nothing is set in stone yet but Pacers are being viewed as the team Brodie will sign next.

Pacers have a dire need for a point guard even though Andrew Nembhard is being primed to take the starting PG spot vacated by Tyrese Haliburton who will be out for the whole 2025-26 season.
Haliburton went down in Game 7 of NBA finals with Oklahoma City Thunder and was diagnosed with a ruptured Achilles.
Landing spot for Russell Westbrook
There’s no real interest yet on Westbrook but the one that’s making the loudest noise are the Sacramento Kings.
Insider Jake Fischer via The Stein Line suggested that the Kings releasing Terence Davis might be the first step to make their partnership happen.
The Boston Celtics are another team that is being urged to sign him with Celtics Chronicle podcast hosts Adam Taylor and Wayne Brown saying he would be a good addition. Heavy Sports also predicted him to land with the Cs.
Westbrook is turning 37 in December and although he does not have the explosiveness that shoot him to stardom when he was still with the Nuggets, he easily bought in on his role as a sixth man that made him important in Denver’s campaign.
